BSc Business Administration

A quality programme to enhance your career

This programme is designed to prepare you for a career in modern business and management. The major areas of business administration are covered: accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, information systems and international business and you'll also have the opportunity to acquire expertise within chosen specialisms. The BSc was developed by Royal Holloway, University of London. Royal Holloway is ranked in the top 12 in the UK by The Times newspaper, putting it in the highest league of UK universities.

Programme aims

This programme aims to provide you with:

  • a systematic understanding of management-related problems, and conceptual tools for analyzing and evaluating management issues
  • a sound knowledge and understanding of the discipline of management with an emphasis on the historical, political, cultural and institutional forces shaping modern business
  • a stimulating learning environment in which to engage with case material
  • the skills and competencies necessary for the development of your creative and decision-making capabilities.

Choice and flexibility

The BSc has four study routes available:

  • General Business Administration (general pathway)
  • Business Administration and Human Resource Management (specialist pathway)
  • Business Administration and International Business (specialist pathway)
  • Business Administration and Marketing (specialist pathway)

The programme is offered with paper-based support and/or online study support to facilitate and fully assist you. You have between 3-8 years to complete your degree. The programme is designed to suit individual needs and fit in with lifestyle and work. We estimate that to complete in the minimum study period you should be prepared to devote 20 hours per week during the academic year. The total fee payable to the University is £3,607 for the BSc. Please note that this figure does not reflect any annual fee increase and assumes completion in the minimum study period permitted.

Excellent support

  • Comprehensive study support is offered providing you with paper-based and online materials; core textbooks can be accessed online or sent to you by post.

  • Via the online learning environment you will communicate with tutors and fellow students, take part in online seminars and, for some course units, undertake team tasks

  • You can gain support for your studies from independent institutions in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malta, Dubai, France, Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago.
