Each
unit is assessed by one three-hour unseen written
examination, and each half unit by one two-hour unseen
written examination.
For
units 60 Introduction to information systems
and 139 Software engineering: theory and
application coursework/a project also counts
towards the assessment. Units 157 Independent
geographical study and 159 Research
project in information systems are assessed by
coursework/a project only. Please note that these units
are not available through the Graduate Entry Route.
You
do not have to come to London to take your examinations.
Examinations are held once a year in local overseas centres
around the world as well as in London. Examinations overseas
are arranged mainly through Ministries of Education or the
British Council. You will be charged a fee by your local
examination centre (this fee will vary). Examinations
are held once a year, usually in May.
Classification:
Undergraduate degrees are awarded with
First Class Honours, Upper Second Class Honours, Lower
Second Class Honours or Third Class Honours. If you do
not qualify for Honours, you may be awarded a Pass
classification.
The
standard of the examination for degrees
is the same as that for students studying at a College
of the University.
