Centre for Financial & Management Studies (CeFiMS) - University of London

Individual Professional Courses – IPC

Programme Structure

The CeFiMS IPC programme provides a very effective form of flexible professional education. The programmes are constructed by professionals whose research is at the forefront of current thinking. The University offers a wide range of programmes to assist those in the financial and management sectors. A calendar structure and all course materials are provided to enable participants to plan their commitments and minimise disruption to professional and personal lifestyles.

An IPC can act as a ‘taster ’ for distance learning if you are unsure about the commitment involved for a full programme. They are available in pairs to meet recognised needs for specialist skills and updating. You may also study alternative IPC combinations and single courses with the approval of the appropriate Academic Director. Students may select a maximum of three IPC’s

Written examinations are held at centres around the world for the convenience of students and successful completion of an IPC leads to a University of London certificate. If after completing an IPC you decide to apply for the MSc that includes your completed course, the IPC may be converted into academic credit providing you have obtained the minimum 50% pass mark. This means that you do not have to repeat a course if you move onto an MSc programme. (Academic credit cannot be transferred between programmes.)
